Hi,
I wanted to post some information about the category targeting option and how it works for advertisers and publishers.
Advertisers:
As an advertiser you will want to select the ‘one’ category that most closely fits your offer or site.
Multiple selections should only be done when your offer is truly is related to each of those categories.
Publishers:
As a publisher you are selecting a category(s) you want to be displayed on your site and that is related to your content.
Selecting multiple categories will allow more offers to be displayed and will allow you to have exposure to potentially higher average CPC categories, giving you higher earnings.
For both Advertisers & Publishers:
If you select multiple categories and your offer/site is not related to one or more, this may be edited to best reflect the true category of your site.
A note about categories:
When an advertiser selects one category the publisher will display ads from that advertiser even if the publisher has chosen other categories.
When an advertiser selects multiple categories the publisher must select all of those categories to show ads from that advertiser.
If a publisher chooses one of two, of the categories selected by the advertiser, the publisher will not display any ads of that advertiser.
Please comment if this is still unclear in any way.
Best Regards,
